Account and Data Deletion
Asheya Alchemy — July 2026
This page explains how to permanently delete your Asheya Alchemy account, and how to ask us to delete personal data we hold about you without closing your account. It applies whether you joined on asheyaalchemy.com or through the Asheya Alchemy mobile app. Your account is held with Asheya Alchemy Pty Ltd (ABN 78 697 630 096), and deletion is free and available to every member.
1. Before You Delete Your Account
Account deletion is permanent. Before you proceed, please note:
Course progress is erased: Your enrolments, lesson progress and quiz results are removed and cannot be restored.
Download your certificates first: Certificates you have earned will no longer be accessible from your account after deletion.
Cancel any active subscription: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Please cancel first from your account’s subscription settings, or contact us and we will cancel it for you.
Community content is removed: Your profile, posts, comments, photos and messages are deleted from our community areas.
2. Delete Your Account Through the App
Open the Asheya Alchemy app, go to your profile menu, then choose Account Settings, then Delete Account. Confirm the deletion when prompted and your account and associated data will be removed.
3. Delete Your Account Through the Website
Log in at asheyaalchemy.com, open your Account settings from the member menu, choose Delete Account, and confirm. Your account and associated data will be removed.
4. Delete Your Account by Email Request
If you cannot access your account, or you prefer that we handle it for you, email contact@asheyaalchemy.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” from the email address registered to your account. We may ask you to verify your identity so we can protect your account from fraudulent requests. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Deleting Your Data Without Closing Your Account
You can also ask us to delete personal data we hold about you while keeping your account and course access. For example, you can ask us to delete:
- Profile details you no longer wish to share, such as your photo, biography or optional profile fields;
- Posts, comments, photos or other content you have shared in our community areas;
- Private messages you have sent through the platform;
- Your marketing and email preferences, including unsubscribing you from all communications.
You can remove much of this yourself at any time through your profile and account settings on the website or in the app. For anything else, email contact@asheyaalchemy.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” from the email address registered to your account, and tell us what you would like deleted.
We handle personal data in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Members in some regions, such as the UK and the European Union, have additional rights under local law, and we honour those too. We acknowledge data deletion requests promptly, complete them within 30 days, and confirm by email once done. Deleted data is also purged from our routine backups as part of our normal backup cycle.
6. What Is Deleted, and What We Retain
When your account is deleted we remove your profile, login credentials, community content, messages, course progress and marketing preferences from our active systems. We retain a limited amount of data where the law requires or permits it, for example:
- Purchase and payment records, which Australian tax law requires us to keep for a period after the transaction;
- Records needed to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service or resolve disputes;
- Records of certificates and attunements we have issued, so we can verify a qualification if you ask us to in future.
Where we retain data after a deletion request, we tell you what has been kept and why. Retained data is kept securely and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy at asheyaalchemy.com/privacy/, then deleted once it is no longer required.
